The Essay Days third mini-festival will take place on December 14-19
The mini-festival is designed to popularize the essay genre, to draw attention to the most famous essayists’ work, as well as to introduce Ukrainian essays into the global context.

Traditionally, for 6 days the participants will have discussions, lectures, meetings with Ukrainian and foreign essayists, as well as the award ceremony of this year's winner of the Yurii Shevelov Prize.

  • DECEMBER 14 (MONDAY)

 

Series of author's lectures

 

17:00 Andrii Liubka. “Features of the author's voice in Ukrainian essays” (online)

 

18:00 Diana Klochko. “Visual. Why write about art simply and subjectively”

 

19:00 Yurii Makarov. “Journalism of ideas, not facts. Who has the right for it and who consumes it? ”

Kyiv Essay Days is a mini-festival designed to promote the essay genre, to draw attention to the famous essayists’ work, as well as to introduce Ukrainian essays into the global context.
