Yusaf Akbar
Central European University [Hungary]
Yusaf Akbar is MBA programs director at Central European University. He is also an Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Emerging Markets. Previous to coming to SNHU, Dr. Akbar had taught and Central European University's Graduate School of Business [Budapest, Hungary], CERAM Graduate School of Management [Nice, France] and European Business School [London, UK]. Yusaf has his doctorate from the Sussex European Institute, University of Sussex, UK. His main teaching and research interests are in international trade, strategy and the politics of multinational enterprise strategy. Yusaf teaches course of International Business at kmbs.
As well he has published two books [1] Global Antitrust: Trade and Competition Linkages and the Multinational Enterprise, [2] EU Enlargement and Central Europe: The Effects of Regulatory Convergence as well as articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals including Journal of World Business, World Competition, Business and Politics etc.
Vyacheslav Briukhovetskyi
Honorary President of NaUKMA
Dr.Briukhovetskyi is the Honorary President of National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, renowned Ukrainian reformator in field of education and the first President of reopened NaUKMA. He is #36 according to the rating “TOP-100 Most Influential People of Ukraine” [“Korrespondent” magazine, 2008]. Has PhD in philosophy and Doctorate in philology.
Michael Calikusu
CFO of Kraft Foods Russia
Currently Michael Calikusu works as the Finance Director for Kraft Foods Russia. Prior to this assignment, he was Kraft's CFO in Ukraine and Director for Strategy & Business Development for the CEEMA region based in Austria, leading and managing a number of region wide acquisitions [Balkans, Russia, Poland, Morocco, Turkey, Egypt]. Before joining Kraft, he held a number of executive positions with Reckitt-Benckiser, Pepsi-Cola Int'l and PriceWaterhouseCoopers in several developed and emerging countries.
Michael has taught Strategy and Finance related courses in the MBA program of Webster University in Austria, given several lectures as a visiting professional to leading Greek and Turkish academic institutions, and has been a corporate trainer during his executive employment with Kraft Foods, Reckitt-Benckiser and Pepsi. Currently, he teaches the Strategy course for the Executive MBA program at Kyiv Mohyla Business School.

Jan Dirk Geertsema

Jan Dirk Geertsema is founder and CEO of Advance! Business Consulting [Netherlands] and a management consultant and management trainer. He has a background of senior management functions in various international industries and in a considerable number of different countries and cultures.
Jan Dirk entered business life in the early 1980's as a sales executive for an American cosmetics company. Soon he was offered the position of Sales Manager. Jan Dirk worked as manager and board member with a subsidiary of Schering AG, a Berlin based Pharmaceutics and Phytopharmaceutics Company, change manager and business development manager with Hoechst Schering AgrEvo GmbH. Since 1997 Jan Dirk started his own consulting business. Also he is a passionate free lance photojournalist.
Serhiy Gvozdiov
Leader of Goldratt Schools Ukraine at kmbs
Serhiy is leader of first European Goldratt Schools - Goldratt Schools Ukraine at kmbs and professor of operations management and Theory of Constraints. Previously Serhiy has worked as director of Lviv Istitute of Management at the Lviv Management Institute. Serhiy has graduated from the Lviv State University named after Ivan Franko [applied math], defended his Ph.D. thesis at the Lviv Politechnika and received his MBA diploma from the Lviv Management Institute. Moreover, Serhiy participated in the international programs of IESE, underwent an internship at the Navarra University [Barcelona, Spain], as well as at the Consulting Center OWZ [Munich, Germany]. He also participated in an internship at the Wayne State University [Detroit, USA].
Yevhen Hlibovytsky

Yevhen is kmbs’ professor since 2004, renowned media and pr-consultant. Today Yevhen is CEO of pro.mova media-agency, which designs educational and consulting projects in PR. His career in media-business Yevhen started from correspondent of local newspaper and moved up to vice-president of Ukrainian National TV-Channel. Being a journalist Yevhen visited biggest hot spots across the world. Nowadays Yevhen works with prominent media in Ukraine and abroad.
Ronald Huisman

Ronald is currently an Associate Professor, Financial Economics and Energy, [Erasmus University, Erasmus School of Economics] and Associate Professor, Financial Management, [RSM / Erasmus University]. Dr. Huisman specializes in financial management for the energy sector. Ronald is also Director of FinEdge International Group. Dr. Huisman has awards for teaching and is a previous winner of the Erasmus University Teaching Prize. Dr Ronald Huisman is the author of numerous publications regarding many well-known financial and economic issues. Dr. Huisman is also a Member of the Economics Affairs Committee of the VVD and originator and developer of webcasts and webtasks for corporate finance courses.
Basil Kalymon

Basil Kalymon is Advisory Dean of kmbs and Richard Ivey School of Business [University of Western Ontario] emeritus finance professor with extensive experience in corporate finance, cost of capital, financial planning and financial institutions. He obtained his PhD at Yale University. Previously, he has held positions at management schools of the University of California in Los Angeles, Harvard University and the University of Toronto. He also has served as a consulting associate with Coopers & Lybrand Consulting Group. Dr. Kalymon’s experience includes development of executive programs in finance both in Canada and internationally.
Paul King
Wharton School of Business [USA]
Dr. Paul King is an experienced corporate CEO, an award-winning educator, an executive coach for Fortune 500 executives, and a mentor for emerging leaders. During his nineteen years as a CEO in the USA, six individuals who worked for him became CEOs on his watch. He has served on more than two dozen Boards of Directors.
He holds two masters degrees and a doctorate in educational leadership. Dr. King has twice been awarded Excellence in Teaching Awards for his college and graduate school teaching. In March 2004, the Delaware Governor awarded Dr. King the prestigious Dr. Wallace Johnson Community Service Award for his visionary leadership and service to the people of Delaware.
Dr. King serves on the lecture faculty of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he teaches in the full time MBA program in Philadelphia and also teaches in the Wharton Executive MBA programs in both Philadelphia and San Francisco. He has served as guest faculty at three international business schools: IEDC-Bled School of Management in Slovenia; Skolkovo, The Moscow School of Management in Moscow, Russia; and for kmbs, Kyiv Mohyla Business School in Kyiv, Ukraine. He lectures on leadership topics including Management Communication, Crisis Communication, Cultural Change, Change Management, Executive Coaching, Negotiations skills, and Management Development.
Yaryna Klyuchkovska
Director for Corporate Communications and PR, Microsoft Ukraine
Yaryna as well is the chair of the board of the Ukrainian Association of Public Relations [UAPR] and an independent consultant in public relations and strategic communication. Earlier she headed public relations departments for Ukraine’s largest mobile telecommunications operator UMC and international wholesaler Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine. She worked as account service director for Romyr & Associates PR agency in Kyiv and spent a year with Benjamin Group/BSMG Worldwide, a leading PR agency in Silicon Valley. Yaryna has master’s degrees from University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and San Jose State University [USA]. Since 2001, Yaryna has been regularly teaching at kmbs.
Mykhajlo Kolisnyk
School of Finance at kmbs Leader
Mykhajlo is professor on finance. He has PhD in Economics, and he joined kmbs in 2000 as professor in finance and accounting at kmbs. As well he is a renowned specialist in the field and author of more than 100 articles on finance and strategic management. Since 2003 Mykhajlo was heading School of Finance at kmbs.
His past work experience include Danish consulting firm “Dansk Management Forum” in Ukraine. Dr. Kolisnyk is an instructor for the kmbs courses "Financial Accounting", "Management Accounting”, and “Financial Management". Dr. Kolisnyk additionally holds corporate and open executive development programs in Finance and heads corporate consulting projects, in particular those dealing with enterprises’ financial restructuring.Dr. Kolisnyk is the author of about 100 publications in the area of Finance and Strategic Management. Since 2002 Dr. Kolisnyk is a Board Member of the PEKAO Bank [Ukraine]. In his free time, Mykhajlo enjoys swimming, traveling and working with the PC, namely programming and web-design.
Philip Kotler
Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University [USA]
Philip Kotler is the S.G. Johnson & Son Distinguished Professor of International Marketing at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He received his master's degree at the University of Chicago and his PhD at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, both in economics. He did postdoctoral work in mathematics at Harvard University and in behavioral science at the University of Chicago.
He was selected in 2001 as the #4 major management guru by the Financial Times and has been hailed by the Management Centre Europe as "the world's foremost expert on the strategic practice of marketing." In 2008, the Wall Street Journal listed him as the 6th most influential person on business thinking.

Olena Maltseva
CEO, Companion Group
Olena Maltseva is one of the first faculty members of kmbs and CEO of Companion Group [publishing house]. She obtained her PhD degree in Management at the Kyiv State Trade and Economics University. Previously Olena worked in several wholesale and leasing companies, where she was a Marketing Consultant and the Marketing Director. She was the first instructor in Ukraine to launch a Distribution Policy Course. Olena wrote more than 25 articles in various academic and business journals. Her case study on "Smak" juices won the 1999 "Best Ukrainian Case in Marketing" Award.
Anatoliy Neelov
Director of “Black Square” Theater
Anatoliy is Director of very popular improvisation-theater “Black Square” and trainer on Acting Techniques. He is author of several plays and a popular actor. Anatoliy has finished the Theater Institute and always dreamed of establishing his own theater.
Kostyantyn Patsera
Consultant on Business-analysis and Analytical CRM SPSS BI Ukraine
Kostyantyn is an expert of business-analysis and data mining. Currently he works as Business-analysis and Analytical CRM SPSS BI Ukraine where he consults Ukrainian and Russian companies. Prior to this assignment, Kostyantyn worked as Modelling Manager at Kyivstar [one of the biggest GSM services provider]. Now he writes his PhD dissertation.
Yevgen Pentsak

Dr. Pentsak is kmbs finance professor and researcher at ²EMS [²nst³tute of Health Econom³cs and Management, Switzerland]. He has graduated from the Mathematics and Mechanics Department at Lviv National University followed by his MS in Economics (MSE) from Lausanne Un³vers³ty, Switzerland. After entering the doctoral program of F³nanc³al Asset Management and Eng³neer³ng (FAME) in Switzerland (2001 - 2003), Yevgen worked as the Director of Business School at Lviv Institute of Management (2004 - 2007). Dr. Pentsak lectured on Advanced Econometrics at Lausanne University [UN²L] and Financial Mathematics at Lausanne Polytech [EPFL]. Yevgen Pentsak is a certified teacher in Financial Mathematics and Assessment of Financial Securities. As well he is the author of numerous publications in Econometrics and Risk Management, and has taken part in many international conferences. Favorite pastimes include intellectual games, puzzles, ping-pong, and badminton.

Piotr Ploszajski is Vice-rector on International Relations and Head of Management Theory department at Warsaw School of Economics [Poland]. Among his main courses are – Management in New Economics and Organisational Development. As well Mr.Ploszajski is a visiting-professor at Harvard University, Princeton University, London Business School and Oxford.
Viktor Pynzenyk
Former Minister of Economy of Ukraine
Viktor Pynzenyk, is a leading Ukrainian reformer, member of the kmbs Board of Directors and an honorary professor of the Kyiv Mohyla Academy. Dr. Pynzenyk is a former Economy Minister and Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine. Dr. Pynzenyk is an MP of 5 convocations and was Advisor to the President of Ukraine on economic policy. At different points in time, Dr. Pynzenyk headed the Council on Economic Reform, the National Council of Statistics, he was a member of the Finance and Banking Committee, and the State Committee on Administrative Reform. Dr. Pynzenyk founded and was the first director of the Lviv Institute of Management.
Joe Pons
President of AXIOMA Marketing Consultants [Spain]
Jose M. Pons holds a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona, an MBA from University College Dublin and a PhD in Business Administration from IESE, Barcelona, where he was a member of the marketing faculty for 15 years and Chairperson of the MBA Program between 1990 and 1994. At the moment he runs AXIOMA CONSULTANTS, a marketing consulting firm he founded 6 years ago, and lives in Barcelona.
He is involved both in executive education as well as practical consulting projects with an emphasis on aligning marketing management policies with current business strategies. He has been a Visiting Professor at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia [Charlottesville] and regular speaker at Management Education events organized by the European Foundation for Management Development, the Graduate Management Admission Council and the Central and Easter European Management Association Network. He regularly teaches at the IEDC Bled School of Management [Slovenia], Instituto Internacional San Telmo [Spain], Rejkavick University and the European School for Management and Technology [Germany] among others.
Michael Radnor

Michael Radnor is a senior professor at the Kellogg School of Management and the Director of Northwestern University's National Science Foundation Industry-University Cooperative Research Center for Technology Innovation Management [CTIM].
Michael Radnor is the Professor of Management and Organizations at the Kellogg School of Management. He holds a PhD from the Northwestern University, a Diploma in Business Administration from the London School of Economics and a DIC in Production Engineering from the Imperial College of Science and Technology, London University. He used to be the Chair of Management and Organizations at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He is a member of the Operations Research Society of America and chair of the College on Productivity and Technical Change of INFORMS.
Prof. Radnor is an author of 2 books and more than 60 articles, published in leading academic journals, in conference proceedings, or as monographs. He serves as a member of the board of the US Poland and Russian American Chambers of Commerce and has served on a number of boards of the National Academy.
Vladyslava Ryabota
Legal Adviser, IFC
Vladyslava Ryabota is a legal adviser in the International Finance Corporation’s [IFC] “Corporate Governance Development in Ukraine” project. After graduating from the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, she worked as a lawyer in the President's National AIDS Prevention Committee and participated in drafting the national AIDS prevention program. In 1994, she obtained a scholarship from the British Council and studied at the Human Rights Center at Essex University [UK] for one year. While at IFC, she helped create a manual on corporate governance for Ukrainian joint stock companies and developed a corporate governance case studies book for educational institutions. Her areas of expertise include shareholder rights, general shareholder meetings, conflicts of interests and protection of confidential information.
Oleksandr Savruk
Dean of kmbs
Oleksandr Savruk is the Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Consulting Group [SCG], a private Ukrainian management consulting company. He has more than ten years’ experience in international industrial and governmental relations, design of corporate programs and business consulting services. He has been a special advisor to the Minister of Economy on microeconomic issues and is a member of the Expert Committee appointed by the Head of Ukraine's State Property Fund. Oleksandr is a frequent speaker on problems of microeconomic reform and has spoken at Harvard University and numerous international congresses. His educational background includes courses in the US, UK, Canada and Austria.
Oksana Semenyuk

Oksana Semenyuk is HR Director at Kraft Foods Ukraine. She has more than seven years' experience of working in Ukraine and internationally for Kraft Foods. Previously, she worked at KPMG and Barents Group. Oksana is a renowned expert in the field and often participates as opinion-leader in number of conferences and roundtables. Jeffrey Strauss
Associate Director of Northwestern University Center for Technology Innovation Management [USA]
Jeffrey Strauss is an Associate Director of CTIM. He has been with the Northwestern University and the Kellogg School of Management for almost 20 years. He works on projects related to emerging economies, regionalization, strategic standards management, corporate and industry roadmapping and scenario planning. He also designs course materials and curricula, including teaching web-sites and Internet-supported training simulations. He co-teaches Emerging Economy, Intercultural Management and Technology Management courses. For 10 years he worked in private industry and nonprofit organizations. With an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, he is an active marketing and training consultant.
Rajesh Tyagi
HEC Montreal [Canada]
Dr. Rajesh Tyagi is a professor of HEC Montreal. His primary research interests are related to the optimal service chain design, evolving the role of product management in Hi-Tech industry. While in Singapore and Canada, Professor Tyagi worked as a project manager and consulted extensively companies of the Hi-Tech industry. He co-founded a biomedical device manufacturing start-up company in Singapore.
Professor Tyagi consults an early stage venture fund and a number of early-stage companies and established corporations on operations and technology management. Currently, he is working on a project related to identifying best practices for product managers in the Hi-Tech Industry. He obtained his PhD in Engineering at the University of Ottawa, Canada and his MBA at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
Vadym Utkin

Vadym is leading Ukrainian office of a global IT-company HansaWorld. His main responsibility is implementation of ERP systems in Ukrainian enterprises. Before that Vadym worked as Managing Partner at InnoWare company, where he was responsible for operational activities and business development. His MBA degree Vadym got from kmbs in 2003.
Pavlo Sheremeta
President of Blue Ocean Strategy Institute Malaysia
Pavlo is the Founding Dean of kmbs. Now Pavlo is President of Blue Ocean Strategy Institute Malaysia. Since 2004 he is a member of the Board of Central and East European Management Development Association [CEEMAN].
He obtained his MBA at Emory University in Atlanta, USA. He also holds a Graduate Management Program Certificate from the International Management Center in Budapest and Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh; as well as a Diploma in Economics from the Lviv State University.
In the past, he was an MBA Program Director at the International Management Institute [IMI-Kyiv], a Project Manager at the Open Society Institute in Budapest and an Assistant to a Ukrainian MP Viktor Pynzenyk.
Andriy Shypilov
INSEAD [France]
Andrew Shipilov is an associate professor, INSEAD [France]. He has Ph.D. in Strategy and Organization Theory, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto [Canada].
His research interests include international management, dynamics of inter-organizational networks and strategic alliances. Andrew's publications have appeared in multiple international journals, such as Industrial and Corporate Change, Managerial and Decision Economics, Thunderbird International Business Review, etc. At the INSEAD Andrew teaches courses on international business strategy.
He holds MBA degree with concentration in International Management from Case Western Reserve University [Cleveland, OH] jointly offered with International Management Center [IMC] Graduate School of Business [Central European University, Budapest]. Prior to joining the Ph.D. program in Canada, Andrew has worked and studied in Ukraine, Germany, Hungary, Italy and in the U.S.
Anna Vlasova
Director of School of HRM at kmbs
Anna holds a PhD in Economics from the Kyiv State Economics University, as well as a Master's degree in Management Education from the University of Economics and Law [d’Aix-Marseille, France] and an efmd diploma in Management. She is an associate professor at the Kyiv Mohyla Academy. She worked at the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, the International Institute of Business and the Kyiv National Economics University. In August 2003 Anna founded and now directs the School of HRM at kmbs.
Anna was a core team member in joint Human Resources Management researches run by the London Business School and the World Bank. She also underwent several internships at Canadian companies. She is a trainer and a consultant to a large number of Ukrainian companies. Her professional interests and areas of specialization include Principles of Management, Strategy, Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management.
Mychailo Wynnyckyj
kmbs professor
Mychailo Wynnyckyj holds a PhD in sociology with a focus on entrepreneurship in post-Soviet Ukraine from the University of Cambridge. He worked for 7 years as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Lava Computer Mfg Inc., a Toronto-based PC hardware and interface card manufacturer. Under his management, the company expanded from 3 to over 60 employees and its markets grew to include North America, Western Europe, Southeast Asia, and Australia. In 1997, he obtained a Master’s degree in Sociology and Politics of Modern Society at the University of Cambridge.
Karl Zaininger
Princeton University [USA]
Karl Zaininger is the Chairman and the CEO of Global Technology Management Consultants, which specializes in business process optimization and global technology management. He is also the Director of the Summer Work Program in German-Speaking Countries and a professor at Princeton University. He received his MSE, MA and doctorate from Princeton University and graduated from Harvard Business School’s Executive Management program.
He has worked for Thomas Group, a management consulting firm, as a Vice President and a Senior Partner responsible for new product development processes. At a different point in time, he also was a Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, the President and the CEO, an Executive Vice President, and a Research Director at Siemens Corporate Research and Support, Inc. Dr. Zaininger has also worked in a number of United States government projects, including programs of the US Army Electronics Technology and Devices Laboratory and Solar Energy Research Institute.
