Mychailo Wynnyckyj

Ideologist of PMBA

Mykhailo Vynnytsky obtained his Master’s Degree in Sociology and Political Science of Modern Society and earned his PhD in Economic Sociology from Cambridge University [United Kingdom]. For 7 years he served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Lava Computer Mfg Inc. in Toronto. Under his management the company grew significantly (from 3 to 60 employees) and set up its subsidiaries throughout North America, Western Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia. Currently Mykhailo is the Business Intelligence Manager of Presidents' MBA Program, teaches courses in KMBS and at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.

Lyubomyra Burlachuk is professional and dedicated Leader with more than 14 years of experience in pharmaceutical business working on senior management positions for global research-based American pharmaceutical company “Eli Lilly” in Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus and its strategic partner in Ukraine JSC “Farmak”. Strategic partnership of these two companies was initiated by Lyubomyra in 1999 in order to develop in Ukraine production of highly effective human recombinant DNA insulin in vials and cartridges (for the first time in the world) based on innovative Eli Lilly technologies.

Joao is a business entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience, having worked in nine different countries with a focus in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Brazil.

Joao has helped different top managers from a variety of industries to set strategic directions, identifying and developing new growth opportunities and aiming to make their organizations more innovative. After launching his own Digital business in the mid 1990´s, Joao started his corporate career when he joined Lowe Lintas, later he held senior positions with J. Walter Thompson, Duval Guillaume in Belgium, Leo Burnett in Central Asia acting as Deputy Managing Director and worked for Brandia Central as COO.

In the last three years Joao has been working with Strategos helping companies to redefine their business models and in parallel co-created is own investment fund to launch Start-up Company’s.

Yusaf Akbar is a Professor of International Business, MBA Program Director in Business School at Central European University [Budapest, Hungary]. He received his PhD from Sussex European Institute at University of Sussex, the UK. His area of expertise includes international trade, strategy and policy of multinational company. He has taught in CERAM School of Management [Nice, France] and in European Business School [London]. Apart from this, Yusaf is the chief editor of International Journal of Emerging Markets and published two books: "Global Antitrust: Trade and Competition Linkages and the Multinational Enterprise" and "EU Enlargement and Central Europe: The Effects of Regulatory Convergence". He has his publications published in numerous magazines and journals, including Journal of World Business, World Competition, Business and Politics, etc.

Oksana conducts specialized training programs for managers on the topics: strategy development, of multi-business management system, business process optimization, balanced system of indicators. She teaches courses in School of Public Health at NaUKMA. The results of two projects were presented in the U.S. Congress "SMS 2000" in New Orleans.

Kostyantyn Patsera

Kostyantyn is Kostyantyn is proficient in cutting edge methodology of data analysis [data mining] and works for SPSS BI Ukraine, providing business analysis and analytical CRM consultation to leading Ukrainian and Russian companies. Before starting consulting career Kostyantyn worked for Kyivstar as a modeling manager at the department of business analysis and marketing planning. His work and achievements made it possible to implement the segmentation and customer retention models, numerical models of cross- and up-selling, etc. Previously, he worked as a consultant-analyst for Interpipe, dealing with operating and strategic forecasting. He is currently working on his Ph.D. thesis.

Joe Pons is the President of AXIOMA Marketing Consultants [Spain]. He obtained his degree in Law from the University of Barcelona, his MBA degree from University College Dublin and defended his doctoral thesis on Business Administration in IESE business school, Barcelona, and worked there for 15 years as a Professor of Marketing. He also served as the Director of MBA Program [1990-1994]. Joe owns Axioma Consultants, a company which is engaged in marketing consulting. He lives in Barcelona.

Eugene is an IEMS Professor [Institute of Health Economics and Management, Lausanne], MBF Program Manager [Master in Banking and Finance] and a Professor of Finance in KMBS. He graduated from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, the Department of Mechanics and Mathematics. He obtained his MSE Degree [Master of Science in Economics] from Lausanne University. Having obtained his PhD in Mathematics [1997], on completion of FAME Doctoral Program [Financial Asset Management and Engineering] at the Swiss Bankers Association and Swiss Universities Association [2001 - 2003], he held the position of Director of Business School at Lviv Institute of Management [2004 - 2007]. Eugene Pentsak taught courses in Higher Econometrics at Lausanne University [UNIL] and Financial Mathematics at Polytechnic of Lausanne [EPFL]. Eugene is a qualified Professor of Financial Mathematics and Securities Evaluation, the author of numerous publications on Econometrics and Risk Management, a participant of many international conferences.

Ronald Heisman is a Professor of Finance at Erasmus University, in Erasmus School of Economics [Netherlands] and in the Rotterdam School of Management [RSM]. He specializes in Financial Management in the energy sector. He is also a Director of FinEdge International Group. He was awarded for teaching activities by Erasmus University. He has his numerous articles published in well-known financial and economic journals and magazines. He is also a member of the VVD Economic Committee and author and developer of network corporate finance training courses.
Jaroslav Gren

In 2006 he graduated from Business School at Lviv Management Institute. Designed a model of optimal investment portfolios for the Ukrainian non-governmental pension funds. Won a Young Scientist Scholarship granted by the Cabinet on Ministers of Ukraine. Author of scientific papers and patents in digital signal processing. Research interests: processing of non-stationary random processes and portfolio investment. Significant experience in modeling technical systems in Matlab and Simulink [Matlab division] and relevant training.
Ostap Hryniv

Ostap has undergone training courses at a number of leading scientific institutions in Europe and the US: E. Schroedinger Institut [Vienna, Austria], TU-Berlin and WIAS [Germany], EPFL [Switzerland], Cambridge University [the UK], University of Wisconsin-Madison [USA]. Research interests include: the use of probabilistic analysis methods, modeling of large complex systems, concerning physical and financial origin. His scientific research has been sponsored by EPSRC [the United Kingdom], FWF [Austria, through the Lise Meitner Fellowship], International Science Foundation.

Vadym obtained his Master's degree in applied mathematics from Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, and a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance from the Institute of Bankers. Vadym Sergeychuk is a chief executive of CA IB Securities Ukraine. His specializes in M&A transactions and capital market transactions. He has done consulting work in the above mentioned areas of expertise in the CEE and CIS countries over 11 years. Most recently he has realized a number of consulting projects [M&A] for Ukrainian and international companies, including Mittal Steel [Kryvorizhstal acquisition], ISD [acquisition of Dunaferr Metal and Steel Works in Hungary], and others.
Leonid Tymoschuk

Leonid graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Moscow Institute of Transportation [MPT], specializing in Applied Mathematics. He pursued postgraduate studies at Delft University of Technology [Netherlands]. In 1997 he obtained PhD in Mathematics Cum Laude [with honors, 5% of the best works] having defended a thesis on "Constructive Algebraic Methods for Some Problems in Non-Linear Analysis". Since 1996 he has held academic and consulting positions in the UK. He has taught courses at the Universities of Delft [The Netherlands], York and Kent [UK] in Numerical Methods, Functional and Logic Programming, Databases of Financial Time Series, Coding Theory and Cryptography. Author of 8 scientific publications in the field of Computer Algebra, Functional and Logic Programming. Since March 2005 he has worked for Goldman Sachs Intl, London [the investment bank] in the position of a Vice-President [Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities division], specializing in models of stochastic interest rate volatility. Victor Pynzenyk

PhD in Economics [Lomonosov Moscow State University]. Leading Ukrainian reformer, a member of the KMBS Supervisory Board and an Honorary Professor of NaUKMA. Former Minister of Finance of Ukraine, elected to the Verkhovna Rada for 4 times, and Economic Counselor to the President of Ukraine from September 1994 to January 2000. He was also a chairman of the Council of Economic Reforms under the President of Ukraine [December 1994], the Head of the National Statistics Council under the President of Ukraine [April 1995], a member of the Finance and Banking Committee [July 1998], member of the State Committee of the Administrative Reform in Ukraine [July 1997 to January 1999]. He founded the Lviv Institute of Management. He has published over 400 articles, books: Financial Incentives in Improving the Quality of Work [1985], Prices and Quality of Industrial Supplies [1988], ABC of Full Cost Accounting [1991], Don’t Blame the Horses, or Reform or its Imitation [1998, 1999].

Jacek Leskov

Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Head of the Econometrics Department [The Graduate School of Business WSB-NLU], and a member of the Monitoring Committee of the European Union Program in Malopolskiy region [Poland]. He served as the director of consulting laboratory at the Statistics Department [University of California, USA]. Jacek Leskov is the author of the following books: Forecasting and Simulation, New Methods in Economic Dynamics. He has his numerous articles on Statistics and Risk Management published. He has done research for international organizations [NATO, UCSB, American Statistical Association]. Volodymyr Savchuk
Professor, Ph.D., an expert in Strategic, Financial and Investment Management.
From 1991 to 2000 Volodymyr Savchuk participated in educational programs for CIS countries as a World Bank Consultant in the international group of experts and was involved in restructuring of CIS industrial enterprises. He conducted 9 World Bank educational programs on enterprise restructuring. Within the scope of the programs he trained more than 200 specialists of
CIS. Apart from this, he took part in the development and implementation of management systems for a number of Ukrainian and Russian enterprises. He has conducted more than 200 corporate and public seminars for managers. He is involved in teaching MBA Courses at the International Institute of Business. Vasyl Kalymon, kmbs’ Dean-Counselor and Professor Emeritus of Finance at The Richard Ivey School of Business [The University of Western Ontario, Canada] is a recognized expert in international corporate finance, capital assessment and financial planning. Professor Kalymon received his Ph.D. at Yale. Among the institutions where he worked there are Business School, University of California at Los Angeles, Harvard Business School and Business School of Toronto University. Vasyl Kalymon is actively involved in strategic activities of the Richard Ivey School of Business, has been teaching at the MBA programs of kmbs, and helped in organizing the International Learning tours to North America for participants of Presidents' MBA program [kmbs].

Candidate of Science in Psychology [roughly a PhD], Assistant Professor. Author of 4 books, numerous articles and manuals in Personnel Management. Experienced Personnel Director. For 12 years she has done HR-consulting work: manages projects on HR strategy development, aptitudes development, management effectiveness, development of tangible and intangible motivation, management of competences, assessment and staff development. She has cooperated with the Hay Group and Hudson Global Resources. She has undergone training courses at Ghent and Munich universities, in De Witt & Morel [consulting company], in the European Institute of Psychodrama.
Yaroslava Loyanych
CEO of the Holding [Energy, Housing and utilities], trainer and practitioner, consultant.
She has worked as HR director until 2009. Yaroslava has 9 years of practical experience. Scope of Yaroslava’s work included HR strategy, development and organization of the HR management system, corporate culture management, HR expenses management. For 5 years now she has been developing and conducting training and evaluation programs. She has relevant experience at big companies in Ukraine [up to 3 800 people] in such areas as FMCG, manufacturing and sales, media business. Yaroslava has two degrees – in Philology and Psychology. Vladyslava Ryabota

Legal Counselor for IFC. She graduated from Shevchenko National University and started her career as a lawyer for the National President AIDS Prevention Committee. Later on she studied for a year in the Center for Human Rights at the University of Essex [Essex University, the UK]. Currently Vladyslava is Legal Counselor for IFC project on Development of Corporate Management in Ukraine. She is an author of the textbook on Corporate Management for Ukrainian Joint-Stock Companies. She is currently in dissertation stage of her PhD.
Olga Shcherbyna
Ph.D. in Economics; Assistant Professor of Management at Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University; Professor of Kyiv-Mohyla Business School [kmbs]; HR-director of Promkabel’-Electricity, Ltd

She has been actively engaged in such international researches and training programs as: “Future leaders in MBA” Program within the "Business Management Education in Ukraine” Project under supervision of US International Development Agency, and "Ukrainian Initiative" Program within the EU project.
Author of more than 50 published scientific, methodological and applied works on Business Management. Co-author of case studies designed on the basis of Ukrainian companies.

Vadym Utkin

Teaches the following courses in kmbs: Information Technology

Vadym is a CEO of HansaWorld in Ukraine, a Swedish manufacturer of the ERP systems focusing on the SMB sector. Apart from this, he develops of the company's partnership network, supports existing customers and attracts new clients. Till 2008, Vadym served as a managing partner for InnoWare. He was in charge of the company's operating activities and was responsible for overall business development. Earlier he worked as a regional director and service manager in the company Robertson & Blums CIS Ukraine. His academic background includes the higher technical education with a graduate degree in Optical and Laser Devices from Kiev Polytechnic Institute. He earned his MBA degree from Kyiv Mohyla Business School in 2003.

Anatoliy Neyolov

Art Director and founder of Black Square [improvisation theater-studio]. Designed the method of "total improvisation". He teaches training courses in Acting for Business Purposes, Technology of Playing Technique , Improvisation as a Means of Existence. He is pleased to be teaching in Kyiv Mohyla Business School, he does consulting work for detective agencies and law firms.
Viktor Kotusenko
Teaches courses in Business Philosophy, Business Ethics, Corporate Social Responsibility
Viktor Kotusenko is an incorrigible Mohyla Academy old-timer since 1992, from the very beginning of the new NaUKMA, where he has been teaching. He is a philosophical practitioner who never misses an opportunity for personal and intellectual development. In 2003 - 2004 he underwent training courses at the University of Notre Dame (Indiana, the USA).
Since 1999 Viktor has been working in the field of Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility. In 2001 he was coaching Ukrainian Professors of Business Ethics ( CEUME Project).
In 2008 - 2010 Viktor was in charge of educational programs in Strategic Consulting Group. To be more precise, he managed the introduction of medium-term program for top managers and business owners – Building System Business. In KMBS Viktor is responsible for the development of Knowledge 2.0 [an internal social network] and the implementation of blended learning approach in School.
