On August 15th, 2011 kmbs team welcomed the Stanford University Alumni delegation. kmbs also is thankful to IFC representative office in Ukraine for attention of this meeting and valuable contribution to discussion.

 

Stanford Alumni Association Study/Travel Program organizes annual trips all over the world to get their participants familiarized with political and economic systems in chosen countries. 2011 Study Tour made accent on three post-Soviet countries – Ukraine, Byelorussia and Russian Federation. Professor David Holloway delivers a series of lectures under this program framework, covering an overview the history of the region in new economic and political conditions and how these countries are sorting out their relations with one another and with Europe. 

 

Stanford Alumni Community representatives had a chance to talk to Oleksandr Savruk, kmbs Dean; Mychailo Wynnyckyj, NaUKMA professor and Olena Voloshyna, Head of IFC activities in Ukraine. Mychailo and Olena told to meeting participants about independent Ukrainian economy formation [after the break of USSR], they also talked about business and government co-operation peculiarities and Ukraine’s global international perspectives.

 

In discussion, dedicated to the issue of the determination and development of the most high-priority economic branches, Olena Voloshyna had indicated agrarian sector as a key to Ukrainian economy success. And Mychailo Wynnyckyj thinks that the largest economic potential in our country can be found in software applications development.
